Gerardo Ubaghs is Frontier Medicines’ Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Frontier Medicines, Gerardo was a Managing Director in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Securities. He brings over 12 years of advisory and capital markets experience in biopharma and computationally enabled drug discovery, having executed over $12 billion in equity and equity-linked financings and over $100 billion in M&A and strategic transactions.

Prior to his investment banking career, Gerardo was a professional solo classical violinist and chamber musician, performing across the United States, Europe, South Africa and Asia.

Gerardo studied at the Conservatory of Valencia (Spain), Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid (Spain), University of Valencia (Spain) and Indiana University and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in both Music Performance and Business Administration.

Gerardo is pursuing additional studies in Physics at Columbia University.
